WEEK 5
In Maths, we have been focusing on the important skill of converting between different units of measure. The children have been applying their knowledge of multiplying and dividing by 10, 100, and 1000 to tackle real-world problems. This not only reinforces their understanding of the number system but also develops their ability to work confidently with various measurements. It has been rewarding to observe the enthusiasm with which they engage in these conversions, demonstrating both accuracy and a clear grasp of the concepts.
In English, we have embarked on an exciting new unit centred around the theme of persuasion, specifically with the objective of choosing a location. The children are being encouraged to enhance their writing skills by crafting compelling arguments and engaging content aimed at persuading their audience.
This week marked the beginning of our Art Week, where the children are immersed in the exciting process of creating three-dimensional objects. This hands-on approach allows them to explore their artistic abilities while developing spatial awareness and fine motor skills. I will add the final photos next week.
In RE, we delved into the various roles within the Catholic Church and discussed how these positions serve and support the community. It has been enlightening for students to understand the significance of these roles and their impact on community engagement.
Lastly, in History, our exploration of sources continues as we practice the skill of inferring how these materials have been utilised over time. This has encouraged the students to think critically about historical evidence and its interpretation.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend ahead!
