Research how VE day was celebrated in Britain as it marked the end of the Second World War. 

Please do not stick in your Homework book. 

Task: Create a 'Thank You' poster that honours both the soldiers who served and their families who supported them during the Second World War. Think about ways to show gratitude for the soldiers for putting themselves in danger and making sacrifices, as well as the strength and resilience of their families who waited and worked hard at home. You could include images, symbols or words that express your appreciation for both groups.

Be creative and think about how everyone worked together and how you can show your appreciation to both those who served on the front line, the communities back home and those still serving!
