Termly Overview
Summer 2
This half-term we enjoyed an exciting visit to the Science Department at St Mary's Bishop Stortford. During the visit, they took part in three engaging, hands-on experiments and activities, giving them the opportunity to explore scientific concepts in a fun and interactive way. They were able to use the microscopes to explore leaves, and tiny insects. They then used the light meters to reflect and refract light, using prisms, and finally they were able to use special filter paper to explore chromatography.
The children demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm, and teamwork throughout the session, asking thoughtful questions and embracing every challenge. They loved visiting the Science labs, and exploring the secondary school, it gave them a taste of life in the future!
