The end of another fun packed week in Year 1! 

In English, our story this week was Puffin Peter. We learned some interesting facts, for example did you know that a puffin's beak glows in the dark? Amazing! We also wrote sentences of dialogue for two of the story's characters.

In maths we finished our learning about subitising numbers to 10 and began learning about one more and one less of a given number.

Today we went to church and celebrated the Mass of St Francis. We learnt a little about him and we had some reflection time where we prayed to St Francis. We also had a treat of some delicious biscuits to celebrate St Francis which were in the shape of animals and trees.
