Here, you will find updates, useful information and pictures showcasing all the exciting things we get up to and learn throughout the year.📚

Autumn 1: 

In RE, we will learn about Creation and Covenant, including the story of Noah, the meaning of the rainbow, Baptism, Psalm 139 and the Old and New Testaments.

In English, we will explore stories and poems including Frog and the Stranger, How to Make Friends with a Ghost and The Puffin Book of Fantastic First Poems. We will write stories, instructions and poems while developing our reading, vocabulary, punctuation and sentence skills.

In Maths, we will learn about numbers to 100, including place value, counting, ordering and comparing numbers. We will also practise addition, subtraction and problem-solving.

In Science, we will explore Living Things and Their Habitats. We will learn about habitats and microhabitats and how plants and animals depend on each other.

In History, we will explore Schools from the Past and find out what school was like 100 years ago. We will compare schools in the past with schools today.

In Art, we will develop our drawing skills by exploring tone, texture, shading and different ways of making marks.

In PE, we will develop our ball skills and gymnastics, practising throwing, catching, balancing, jumping and moving with control.

In Music, we will explore rhythm, pulse and dynamics. We will create and perform our own rhythms using instruments.

In PSHE, we will explore what it means to be part of our class and school community. We will learn about rights, responsibilities, feelings and making positive choices.
