Here, you will find updates, useful information and pictures showcasing all the exciting things we get up to and learn throughout the year.📚

RE: Creation and Covenant: In this unit, pupils will explore the life of Abraham and discover why he is such an important figure in both Judaism and Christianity.

Promise and Prophecy: In this unit, children will learn about prophets as God’s messengers, focusing on Elijah and John the Baptist. They will explore how these figures encouraged people to follow God and prepare for the coming of Jesus.

ENGLISH: Children will develop their reading, writing and oracy skills through a range of engaging texts. They will explore A Small Dragon, Arthur and the Golden Rope, Until I Met Dudley, The King who Banned the Dark Children will write narratives, persuasive speeches and poems while developing their sentence structure, punctuation, vocabulary, conjunctions and VIPERS reading skills.

MATHS: children will develop their understanding to order and compare numbers beyond 1,000, exploring counting, place value, ordering and comparing numbers. They will use secure formal written addition and subtraction fluency. They all also count in multiples of 6,7,9,25 and 1,000.

SCIENCE: Children will explore the human digestive system and learn about the role of its main parts in keeping us healthy. Children will also  investigate how sounds are made and discover that sound is created through vibrations. 

HISTORY: Investigating the changes in children’s lives through time, children learn how children’s spare time, health and work have changed.pe

GEOGRAPHY: Developing an understanding of biomes, ecosystems and tropics; mapping features of the Amazon rainforest and learning about its layers. 

PE: Children will develop their tennis, netball and gymnastic skills

MUSIC: Children will develop piano keyboard and scales and Composing word rhythms

ART & DT: Children will learn craft and design skills as well as Textiles fastening skills
