Our first full week in school has been a busy one!  Year 6 have spent time getting to know the Reception children and buddies have been allocated.  Today they had time to play together, paint pictures and share books in the library - look out for some beautiful paintings at the two Buddy Assemblies.

In English this week, Year 6 enjoyed acting as gargoyles and freeze-framing parts of the story 'Night of the Gargoyles'.  We will be using this book over the next couple of weeks to inspire writing in a mystery and suspense genre and practise creating atmosphere.  From the imaginative expressions and positions of the gargoyles in Year 6, I'm looking forward to some fantastic writing!
