Summer 1, Week 1 - Friday 25th April 2025
I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter break but here we are back in school and amazingly two thirds of the way through Year 6. The next couple of weeks will be very focused on maths, reading and SPAG and this week has been no exception. In maths, we have revised division of fractions, interpreting graphs, properties of 3-D shapes and measuring angles. We have also looked at different kinds of questions in reading to refresh minds on those and have practised relative clauses and word classes in English.
This week we have also reflected, of course, on the sad death of Pope Francis and in Year 6, we have considered the legacy he leaves behind and what we as individuals can do to honour his memory, particularly in relation to his encyclicals - Care for Creation, Care of Others and the Joy of the Gospels.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen
