Summer 1, Week 4 - Friday 16th May 2025
Every week is a busy one but this one has been particularly busy as it was the week that all of Year 6 dreaded - the week of the SATs. Each day, Year 6 have arrived at 8'clock and had a fitness and wake up session before having breakfast together and then settling down for the morning's tests. Year 6 have worked so hard doing the tests this week but of course, have also been working really hard in the weeks and months leading up to them, with lots of children attending weekly early morning boosters, as well as all the work that has been done in class and, of course, over Years 3 to 6 as this is the culmination of the work in the whole Key Stage. Well done, Year 6 - every single one of you has tried your very best and we are very proud of all of you.

Fortunately, this week has also been Art Week, so Year 6 have had the opportunity to release some stress with some creativity. Our current topic is sculpture and is a 3-D topic. The first lesson involved searching for natural items that the children felt were related to them and their personalities in some way. They then used clay and the objects they'd found to create sculptures that expressed something about themselves.
Have a look at our fantastic sculptures.
End of SATs treats - ice lollies and buddy time.
