Week 6 - Friday 13th February 2026

This has been a very busy week and I know you will enjoy the well deserved week off.  As you know it was Children's Mental Health week, so we did not set any half term homework, but it would be great if you could read your books and practise your times tables during this week.  As part of Mental Health week we spent some of Friday afternoon with Year 1, reading them stories, drawing pictures and took part in a whole school dance off in the hall.

It was also Safer Internet Day on Tuesday and we designed an AI tool to help us in everyday life. There were some interesting thoughts around this!

In English, we completed our narrative poems creating a sequel to the poem 'The Listeners'. We used atmospheric language to write these narratives, and I know we loved sharing and performing them in class.

We have completed multiplication and division in maths and after half term will be looking at fractions.

We will also be starting our new Geography topic of The Oceans, which I am sure we will enjoy.

Have a lovely half term.
