Spring 2, Week 1, Friday 27th February 2026
Welcome back to the second half of the Spring Term; hopefully the weather will get warmer and signs of Spring will start to appear over the next few weeks, which will fly as this is such a short term.
This week, as well as practising order of operations in maths and analysing dialogue in English, we have had DT week. The Year 6 project is to make automata - toys with a moving part, using cams. So far, they have drawn their designs, measured and marked out the wood accurately and have used hacksaws to cut the wood for the frame before they drilled a hole in two parts and stuck the main parts of the frame together. Watch this space next week for the finished products.
