Spring 2, Week 3, Friday 13th March 2026
This week has been British Science Week and, in Year 6, our topic was Curious Cosmos. We looked at how satellites are used to monitor our Earth, rocket fuel and how rockets are shaped to make them aerodynamic. The investigation into rocket fuel was particularly popular as we tried out our rockets (film cannisters) to find the best mix of fuel (water and fizzy tablets) to make them fly furthest. It was lovely to see the effort today that had gone into so many different scientific outfits too.
