St Joseph'sCatholic Primary School

Week 10 21.11.2025

Friday again and the end of a very busy week in Year 1.

This week we continued looking at instructional writing. The children were in pairs- one child had to give instructions and the other child had to follow them, acting out the instructions. They had to give each other instructions that we would need to follow at the start of the school day including, 'take off your coat', 'put your bag away' and 'sit on the carpet'. The children then each wrote their instructions out. We also wrote instructions for washing our hands.

In maths we looked at part whole models and making representations of sums on tens frames.

Today was 'Onesie Day'. It was lots of fun coming to school in our onesies and my Oodie! We may need to make it a regular thing! We joined Year 5 in the afternoon to share stories, which we really enjoyed! We also visited the library and borrowed a library book which needs to be returned by next Wednesday so we can take new loans out!

A bumper slideshow of photos from last week and this week for you to enjoy!

Have a lovely weekend and see you Monday,

Mrs Carpineta
