Autumn 2, Week 2, Friday 14th November 2025
Today has been Children in Need Day - it's been a very busy day but absolutely fantastic as everyone enjoyed participating right from tea and coffee for parents before school to the activities throughout the day for the children - bingo, guess the staff member from a baby photo, dancing and of course, a cake sale. Altogether from online and cash donations, we have made an outstanding £680 for this very worthy charity. To put that in perspective, some of the statistics are that:
- £2 could provide a hot, healthy meal for a child living in poverty
- £5 could pay for a memory box for a bereaved child
- £15 would pay for a teenage carer to go bowling and have a break from their responsibilities.
So all our children can be proud of how many other children they are helping from today's efforts.
Well done to all of Year 6 for participating and for helping with collecting money and the cake sale. An extra special well done to Sofia, our Primary Minister, whose idea it was to raise money for Children in Need and who went to Mrs Moseley with all her great ideas.
