Autumn 1, Week 8, Friday 24th October 2025
This week has been another hard-working week in Year 6 - we have reviewed some of their assessments but will look at these more closely in booster sessions after half term. We have enjoyed the end of a really interesting history topic through which we've learned a lot about the census and what we can find out from it. To finish off, after half term, we will be looking at the local census for 1921 to see what we can find out about our local area.
Year 6 have enjoyed their recent science lessons - last week making replica blood so that we could learn about the components and this week, using Skittles to find out about diffusion.
Spanish Day was a great success yesterday with Year 6. They really enjoyed learning about the architect Antoni Gaudi and creating their own 2-D and 3-D mosaic pieces inspired by his work.
Well done, Year 6, for such a positive first half term - you have worked hard this half term and shown yourselves to be great role models to your Reception buddies and the rest of the school. Keep it up next half term but for now, have a lovely week with rest and fun with families.
