Please remember to read with your child daily and support them with understanding through comprehension of the text and not just decoding.

English:

This week we have look at our comprehension skills and knowing what specific vocabulary means and how to answer deeper questions. Please complete the comprehension sheet to help your child to understand the text more.

Spellings:

• To be able to segment words into the correct syllables and phonemes
• To spell words ending in ‘ff’, ‘ll’, ‘ss’, ‘zz’ and ‘ck’

Please practise the 10 words that your child has been learning in school. Spelling tests will happen next Thursday 30.11.23

Maths:

We are continuing to focus on the value of numbers and developing mathematical vocabulary.
