We’ve had another very busy week and I can’t believe that we only have another half-term to go until you move onto Year 6 in September!  The time has flown by!

This week was our D&T week and it’s been a pleasure to see how well you worked on designing and sewing a small soft toy using a combination of blanket and running stitches.  You had some lovely ideas and tried really hard with your sewing.  Well done!

In our English we created circular stories similar to our class book, ‘The Promise’, and in Maths we revised our understanding of 2D properties and linked it to identifying the properties of cubes and cuboids and their nets.  We had plenty of practise creating cubes from nets using manipulatives and drawing cuboid nets on dotty paper to help our understanding.

We held our May Procession in the school’s Prayer Garden on Thursday and Year 3 led the service. Thank you to all of you for bringing in your flowers to put around our statue of Mary.  They looked beautiful.
