This week will would like children to practise their handwriting. Please make sure children write in the correct spaces and lines for their handwriting.

Spellings:

Our spelling rule this week is Words that have an /s/ sound spelled with a ‘c’, have an ‘e’, ‘i’ or ‘y’ after the /s/ sound.

For example ‘ice’ ‘spice’ ‘race’ ‘cell’

Please practise the spellings each night for our test on Thursday. You will need to choose 5 words and put into a sentence.

Maths:

In maths this week we have been looking taking away. Please complete the maths sheet where the children need to use the number line. This will also reinforce their mental arithmetic skills,
