Week 10
This week has been a very busy week for Reception.
English: We have been busy learning our phase 2 sounds and writing CVC words in our English and Phonics lessons.
Maths: we have been subtising (recognising an amount without counting) to 3.
Understanding of the World: We went on an Autumnal walk. We looked at the different trees and the various colours of leaves. We collected lots of leaves and made leaf pictures.
This week was Anti bullying week. We have been learning about what a bully is and exactly what bullying is. We learnt strategies on how to deal with bullying if we were ever to be bullied. We decorated odd socks and talked about different scenarios.
Today was Children in Need day. We celebrated by having our own party 'Celebrating being a child'. We danced to 5 songs along with Nursery and then we had popcorn, biscuits and juice.
