WEEK 3

This week we have focused on Anti-Bullying! We have spent a lot of time on what bullying is, what to do if someone is bullying you or what to do if you witness someone bullying you. We have also focused on online bullying and what this an look like and what to do if it happens to you.

We all participated in wearing odd socks to raise awareness of bullying. We also had looked at different scenarios, acted them out and then discussed what the characters should do. The children really enjoyed this. We also created a Year 5 slogan to stop bullying. Ours was ' Be a buddy, not a bully'. We coloured in a mouth on paper and wrote sentences to other about what we could do to stop bullying.

On Friday, we also participated in Children in Need. It was a great day full of activities. Year 5, did some dancing with Miss Cicero and some time to discuss what children in need was all about. We even looked at some of the first aired Children in Need. Thank you to everyone who donated! It's for a great cause! In the afternoon, the St Joseph's Line Dancers also competed against the teachers in front of the school to raise money! Well done to the the Line Dancers, I'm sure we'' have a few more wanting to join now! Whatch out for the New Year's Line Dancing show!
