It's the second week back after half term and we're well into the swing of things.  In English this week, we have begun using a  new book as a stimulus for discussion and writing, called 'Wisp'.  It's a beautifully illustrated book with some wonderful metaphors and thinking points which should get everyone excited about their own writing.

Maths this week started with primes, common multiples and common factors and has moved on to everyone's favourite - fractions.  We have begun by looking at equivalent fractions and at using common factors to simplify fractions.

We finished the week with a beautiful Remembrance Assembly led by the Chaplaincy team.  Well done to those children for their hard work in preparing it and for leading it so well this afternoon.
