It's been assessment week so a very hardworking week for Year 6 as we did practice papers in reading, maths, grammar, punctuation and spelling.  Well done to everyone for taking them seriously and trying their very best.  Next week, we will discuss marks and where improvements can be made.

The week finished with our school Spanish Immersion Day.  A day of celebrating all things Spanish.  After this morning's celebration assembly, Year 6 had a wonderful Paso Doble session with Miss Cicero.  They really entered into the spirit of it and enjoyed themselves.

After learning dance moves, we had some conversation time with Mrs Direnzo and Year 6 practised dialogue in pairs.  Then they researched the country of Spain, deciding where they would like to visit and creating a presentation with information about each place.  To complete the task, they had to work out how they would travel to each place but bearing in mind a more climate friendly journey and not using any air travel.  Year 6 did some lovely work.  You can see a few of them below. 

There was also a chance to try some Spanish food when the tapas arrived this afternoon!  All in all, a great day was had by everyone and it was a fun way to finish a very hardworking week.
