Year 6, Summer 2, Week 2

And we're back!  Apologies for the lack of class news last Friday but, as you can imagine, I was a little tired by the time we got back and I'd unpacked all of the medical and sport stuff and put it all away at school!

I'm sure you've all heard all about every day at residential so I don't really need to give you a round up of the week here but I'll just summarise it and say what a fantastic time we all had.  Everyone had a go at every activity and everyone, was at some point, slightly out of their comfort zone and trying something new.  I think all the children felt that they'd discovered new things about themselves and their class mates.  What was also lovely last week was how friendly our children were to the other schools they came across and, as well as that, we received compliments from many of the staff running activities about how well-mannered our pupils are and how well they listened and paid attention to all the instructions they were given.  The kitchen staff came over to our tables especially to say what polite, well-behaved children they are.  So, well done to all of Year 6; we are all very proud of you!

This week has been a bit of a back to normal week, with some maths and English, as well as trying to catch up on some of the other subjects that have taken a back seat during SATs and residential.

I have hundreds of photographs and some video clips from the trip, so please see below for a selection.  Once I have had time to collate them all properly (and worked out how to put video clips on the website) I will add the rest.
