Our Mission

To help promote the arts (Music, Art, Dance and Drama) at St Joseph’s and share the amazing power of the arts with everyone who visits our school.  To spread the message of how important the arts are for mental wellbeing and how engaging with arts can improve life for so many people.

Our Aims

• To celebrate the many and varied types of artwork, including Music, Art, Dance and Drama.
• To help children enjoy the arts and find the areas of the arts that they enjoy most.
• To encourage everyone to explore the arts and find out which ones they wish to pursue further in the future.
• To help our school achieve the next level of the Artsmark award.

We achieved Silver Artsmark accreditation in 2023.  The children were very proud of our achievements and the improvements which have been made to our arts provision during the time they have been Arts Ambassadors.

We will soon be beginning a new Artsmark journey, during which we will find new ways to improve our school and our curriculum offer for all children, with the assistance of our Arts Ambassadors. When our journey begins, we will appoint new team of Arts Ambassadors who will have many fresh ideas about how we can complete our journey in the most effective and artistically fulfilling way.
