WEEK 3

What a busy week, and how fast has it gone!

In Maths, we have come to the end of percentages with problems. We will be moving on to 3D shapes and translation.

In English, we are beginning to plan our mystery and suspense story. We have looked at how we use different techniques to create suspense by using mention, mention, and linger. We also looked at how we use colons for lists but also for importance to add to dramatic effects. We also played a quick game of charades. Two children went outside the door while the rest of the class was given a scenario to freeze frame. The children outside then had to come in and guess what the scenario was. Show, not tell, games to use in our writing.

In science, we recapped what we have learned about living things and their habitats. We looked at what classification means, a classification key, life cycles, and key vocabulary.

In RE, we looked at the story of Paul becoming Saul and how the Holy Spirit transformed his life. Next week, we will be looking at how the Holy Spirit has transformed our lives.

In computing this week, we learned how to use spreadsheets to find out how many days a baby would have been alive if it had been born 8.6 months ago. We also looked at what a formula is and what variables are.

Have a lovely long weekend.
