Class News, Spring 2, Week 6

This final week of term has flown by with lots going on in school.  On Monday, Key Stage 2 went to the Church for Stations of the Cross with Father John.  Well done to all of Year 6 for their excellent behaviour at Church.

Yesterday we had our topic sharing event to finish off our Mayan history topic.  We learnt about Mayan masks and when they used them, then made our own.  Finally, we tried out some Mayan style hot chocolate - much more bitter than the hot chocolate we're used to and flavoured with cinnamon and cayenne pepper or chilli.  Thank you to those parents who were able to come and join us for the afternoon.

Today, Chaplaincy led our class and Nursery and Reception for the Stations of the Cross, using our own school Stations and the booklet produced last year by all the Academy schools.  Well done, Chaplaincy for leading us so beautifully and well done to all of Year 6 for joining in reverently and thoughtfully.

Tomorrow, the last day of term, promises to be incredibly busy with lots of events going on, starting with the Easter Service led by Years 3 and 4, which is why Class News is on the website today.  Mrs Puntrello and I wish you all a Happy and Holy Easter.  Enjoy the holidays, Year 6 and come back refreshed and ready for everything that the Summer Term will bring.
