Welcome back to the summer term! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break.

This week we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and used it as a basis for our English and maths work. In English, the children were able to recall the story and worked hard to sequence it. 

In maths we were reinforcing repeating patterns. The children were all able to complete a pattern and then they tried to make their own patterns. I was very impressed.

We also learned about the life cycle of a butterfly and the children were able to explain that a caterpillar changes into a butterfly.

We continued our phase 2 phonics and this week we learned 'k' and 'ck'. 

We have now a set up a cafe in our role play corner and the children are really enjoying it.

Please could I ask that a change of clothes be sent in and kept in your child's bag. We are running low on spare clothing for toileting and water play accidents and this would be a great help.
