Create a happy box / jar for the new year.

Have you got a jam jar an empty tea bag box or any other container? You can colour paper and wrap the box . Glue on tinsel or magazine pictures or newspaper . You could write fun words all over some paper and wrap this around your box . You could cover the lid of the jar with material or colour pictures to stick on it.

Once you have created your jar take a piece of paper and tear it into strips.

Write down some happy thoughts or places you would like to be or things you would like to do in the coming year.

Fold the pieces of paper and put them in your jar or box.

You can give this to someone or share with your siblings or friends.

Each day pick a piece of paper and plan that activity or think that happy thought.  You can add new ideas whenever you think of them.
