It’s been another busy and productive week in Year 6.  We have successfully tackled ratio and proportion in maths, building and drawing models to help with thinking problems through.

In English we have looked at formal writing, thinking about how sentences are arranged and where the passive voice gives a more formal tone.

Friday was St Joseph’s Day and Year 6 were very involved with the celebration Mass.  This was our first whole school Mass in the hall for a very long time.  Year 6 set the hall up before it started, then some of them were readers and servers and a good number sang with the choir.  Well done to the choir for leading the singing so beautifully and well done to all of Year 6 for their involvement in preparation, serving and reading and for excellent behaviour during the Mass.

In the afternoon we made dioramas of a scene of the Holy Family before rounding the day off with a very welcome visit from the ice cream van!
