Week 3 (19.1.24)

It’s been another busy week in Year 3!

In English where we’ve been researching the effects of plastic pollution on our local environment.  We’ve been busy gathering facts and sharing ideas about recycling so that we can write our own speeches next week.

In Maths this week, we’ve been revising the formal written method for subtraction as well as our times tables and in RE we’ve been discussing the Liturgical calendar and the different seasons and feasts which take place throughout the church’s year in particular those for our Lady, Mary.

In Science we’ve learnt about the different types of forces that can make objects start and stop moving, make a moving object change direction and change the shape of an object.

Finally, in History we’ve investigated how the Britons responded to the Roman invasion.  We have a lovely and informative History display in our classroom on the Romans at the moment.  We’ll be adding more to it when we finish making our Roman swords and shields and I'm sure it'll look even more impressive!

Congratulations to our Stars of the week and to our Writer too.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week.

Best wishes

Mrs Howard and Miss Cicero
