Week 11 (22.3.24)

It’s been a busy week fundraising in Year 3 this week!  We had great fun yesterday taking part in a sponsored tennis bounce as you’ll see from our photos.  The best thing is that we’ve raised nearly £100 - so well done for everyone who took part.

Tuesday was a special day for everyone in school as well.  It was the Feast Day for our school saint, St Joseph. It was lovely to see so many parents join us in our Mass and our Year 3 readers read their bidding prayers so well.  There were all kinds of activities throughout the day for the children and Year 3 joined up with Year 2 to decorate biscuits with icing in the shape of lillies to represent St Joseph. They looked super and, according to the children, were delicious too!

On Thursday it was a very special day for us too because our parents joined our Guided Reading lesson as part of the school’s LIFT (Learning is fun together) initiative. The children really enjoyed showing them what we do in our reading lessons.

It’s been our Assessment week this week too and everyone has worked really hard so I hope you have a lovely weekend with your family.  Well done to our Writer and stars of the week!

Best wishes

Mrs Howard and Miss Cicero
