Class News

This week has been 'Anti-Bullying Week', and the children have had a special assembly to highlight what bullying is and the different ways that we can all work together to prevent it and overcome it when it arises.

It was great to see the children supporting the cause in their odd socks, as well as their bright and spotty clothes for 'Children In Need'. To mark this special charity we decorated biscuits with a spotty pattern. Thank you for your donations.

The children have been zooming in on Google Earth during Geography and locating places where they live on street map. They were fascinated to zoom in on St Joseph's school and tried to locate the different features surrounding the school on an aerial photograph.

Well done to our stars of the week and our writer of the week. We ended our Celebration Assembly with the teachers and children from line dancing club, performing a line dance in front of the whole school. I have to say it was great fun and now I think there will be many more children waiting in line for the next line dancing club!

Easter Homework

If you remember back to Monday's Assembly and the Homework I set .

The Saint in My Life

I shared the saint in my life and I asked if you would like to share the Saint in your life.

What is a saint?

Most people use the word “saint” to refer to someone who is exceptionally good or “holy.”

In the Catholic Church, however, a “saint” has a more specific meaning: someone who has led a life of “heroic virtue.”

Qualities
They are an excellent role model.
They are unusually good at teaching people to live lives of goodness.
They act as channels of God's power.
They are intercessors.
They are generous and unselfish.

Task

Present the saint in your life in any form:Power point, booklet, poster ,any form.

Remember your Saint can be present or past, famous or not.

Bring these in  on 17th and 18th April and we will share these inspirational people.
