Class News 8.3.24

Friday again and another wonderful week together in year 1.

In maths this week we learned all about doubling and that doubling is adding a number to itself or multiplying by 2. This was a particularly tricky concept to grasp but everyone tried so hard.

In English this week we created our own Roar and Worry books, outlining times when we felt angry or worried and what we did to make ourselves feel better.

We continued our art topic, mixing primary colours and investigated making different shades of green. We also made our own Clarice Cliff inspired paper plates!

Yesterday was World Book Day and the children all looked fantastic in their costumes. The children enjoyed making paper plate faces of different story characters and we visited Year 3 to share a story.

Thank you to those parents that came in to read to the class, the children all really enjoyed it, as did all the staff!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday and we will see you all on Monday,

Mrs Carpineta.
