Class News - A2 Week 6

It has been lovely to be back with Year 4 this week! Thank you for all the kind messages that I received. I really appreciate it!

This week we have been super busy with assessment week. We finished a couple of test papers, and everyone performed admirably! This is one very proud teacher!

In English, we have been looking at the John Lewis Christmas clip called ‘The Long Wait." We have done some acting, found diary features, and written our own diary entry. We have also carried on with our explanation unit this week. We have some really imaginative children in this class! We have invented and described our very own contraption that will help us get through the day, for example, a hair designer, food machine, and a self-ironing machine! I can’t wait to share their final explanation text next week!

We have been busy with DT this week. We are creating our own book sleeves. To start off with, Year 4 looked at different types of fastenings around the school and how they might be attached to different materials. After, we designed our own Christmas-themed book sleeves, measured them out, and have started to make them. We will be finishing the stitching and decorations next week.

Just a reminder that the children made baubles in school that are being sold for £2.50. If you still wish to purchase them, please send the money to me.

Well done to our stars of the week and writer:
