Black History Month - Parent Workshop
Fri 13 Oct 2023Today as part of the national theme of 'Saluting our Sisters' we have been learning about different fashion role models. Our parents came into to deliver a workshop to our children about design, fashion and craft makers. We explored traditions, cultures and deep meaning behind these outfits. We learnt about the role of a tailor and how to create new sustainable clothing.
We learnt that patterns and images on clothing represent countries, communities, identities and stories.
This was such a lovely time spent with our children and our parents to continue the work around the theme of 'Saluting our Sisters'
