Year 6, Autumn 2, Week 6
Year 6 have had an especially hard-working week this week as it has been assessment week and they have completed practice SATs papers in English and maths. They have all tried extremely hard and we are seeing consistent improvement in the approach to questions as well as time management. Well done Year 6!
In amongst all our hard work, we managed to fit in two other events. The first was the Festival of Carols in the Pavilions shopping centre. Year 6 really did us proud as they sang out so well, even putting in a descant harmony in one of the carols. It was lovely to see so many parents coming along to support us too.
Yesterday, Year 6 spent much of the day running the PTA Christmas market in the school hall. They set it up, served customers from each class and helped their buddies to choose what they wanted to buy as well as counting some of the money and clearing up afterwards. They did fantastically well and used plenty of maths skills counting money, adding up and giving change.
A hard working week but one to be proud of!
