Week 6
We have had an enjoyable creative art week this week, and our class has continued celebrating Black History Month.
In English, we have completed our non-chronological reports, ready for editing and publication, which we are really excited about. We will look at next week how to present our report with the features of a non-chronological report. Well done, Year 5! I can’t wait to see the final piece, and then I will publish it for all to see.
In maths, we have been looking at rounding to three decimal places. We are about to start our new unit, multiplying and diving by 10, 100, 1000, and 10,000 with numbers including decimals.
In RE, we are about to start our new topic, Mission, which will begin next week.
In history, we have learned about Henry VIII and his six wives. Can you remember the rhyme? Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived. We looked at all the wives and completed a survey on who was best suited for Henry VIII and why. We will continue to look at this next week.
We have started our art week by looking at different techniques of artwork. We have looked at different paintings, drawings, photographs, line drawings, and continuous line drawings and replicated some of these ourselves. In addition to this, we have started to create our own print for the background of our image for the next lesson. We are excited to see what these will turn out to be.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Well done to our stars and writers!
