Another fun packed week down in reception.

Phonics/Literacy: We have been busy learning our new sounds 's', 'a' and our new tricky word (common exception word) I.

We have been practising writing our new sounds in our books too. 

We read the book 'What makes a rainbow?' We have talked about all the things we associate with the colours of the rainbows. We have been busy painting to create our corridor display for next week.

Maths: We have been counting up and down to 10/20.  

Buddies: Today the children were split into two groups. Some went off to the library to read with their buddies and share stories the other half got to paint their pictures with their buddies. All in preparation for the buddy assembly.
