Well it has definitely felt like winter this week. Another week successfully completed and all children in year 3 have been their usual brilliant selves
In English we started our new book The boy who grew dragons, we have all really enjoyed reading this story, the author really made us laugh with some of the one liners they wrote. On Monday we spend some time looking at our new spelling rule, prefixes. The children enjoyed playing a prefix game of snap.
Maths, we started our new unit which is all about statistics, we have been studying bar charts and interrupting the data collected from them. Our timetable focus has been 6 this week.
We kicked off our new RE topic for advent Visitors, we spoke about how we welcome visitors into our homes and school (pre covid of course) and we all agreed visitors are great when its our birthdays or christmas, I wonder why :). The Jesse Tree has been a main focus this week and we re created the symbols and made our own Jesse Tree. We are looking forward to using the Jesse Tree stories as of next week for our own reflection advent calendar.
Have a lovely weekend
