CLASS NEWS 08.12.23
Good afternoon Parents and Carers,
Another week has flown by in Nursery and we have certainly been busy! Amongst practicing our Christmas songs for our
festive sing along, we began the week attending our whole school advent assembly. It is a very special assembly and the children enjoyed listening to the story of advent and seeing our beautiful tree decorated. The children have also been continuing to listen and identify environmental
sounds as part of our phase 1 phonics. Phase 2 will begin after Christmas. This week as part of our topic ‘People who help us’ we have been
learning about the role of the fire service, what they wear and what they do. The children used their cutting and sticking skills to make their own fire service pictures. In maths the children have been exploring colours and patterns using cubes. They have been very creative! We have also
been
busy making a lovely Christmas surprise for you parents - but you will have to wait till the end of term!!
Next week will sure to be a very festive and exciting week in Nursery - some reminder dates for you ..
