WEEK 7
This week we have watched an exciting story called the, 'Black Hat'. This was used as a stimulus for the children's own story writing. It was a joy to see the children using their imaginations moving from one or two sentences, to just that little bit more as they tried to build up their story with a beginning, middle and end. They are really building up their resiliance in their writing. Well done Year 1.
For Maths we have looked at 1 more and 1 less, and sequencing numbers. They are continually being encouraged to answer the maths questions using mathematical vocabulary to explain their findings at a greater depth.
In RE the children have demonstrated a good understanding about the generosity and kindness of communities who donate to others. We would like to thank all of you who brought in food donations for the Harvest.
We have had a fabulous fun time as we participated in (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) STEM week. We had the pleasure of using a few simple resources to create our own catapaults to launch objects through the air. This was a great and fun way to finish off a very busy first half term.
Well done to our Writer of the week and Stars of the week.
Thank you for your continued support everyone and I look forward to seeing you all after the half term break.
