School Information -Covid 19 Pandemic
If you are informing us about ANYTHING with regards to Covid 19 ;
Please ring the school office during school hours 8.30-4pm -Monday -Friday
Please email : schooloffice@stjosephs351.herts.sch.uk at any other time (Evenings ,weekends or holidays)Please DO NOT email any other address or dojo the class teacher.It is only this address that will be monitored throughout.
Suspected Covid case
Home -If your child has any of the three main covid symptoms ,please do not send them to school. Please seek medical advice.
If they test positive on a LFT please do not send them to school, please communicate this with the office, government advice,‘On Thursday 24 February, the Government removed the legal requirement to self-isolate following a positive test. Adults and children who test positive will continue to be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 full days, and then continue to follow the guidance until they have received 2 negative test results on consecutive days’.
School -If a child presents with any symptoms or is unwell in school, then we will call home.
PE days /Kits
Until the end of Spring 2 at least these will be worn in.
Remote Learning
Remote learning will come into place if a child is isolating with covid. If they are well then remote learning tasks will be set and are expected to be completed.
Once a parent reports the suspected or positive case then the class teacher will make contact via Class dojo and set appropriate tasks daily.

Risk Assessments
We will review our plans and risk assessments throughout Spring as the government reduces measures. While the government reduces measures we still try to manage positive cases with pupils and staff so as a school we do appreciate your support with school measures and restrictions.These are in place to keep us all safe as covid remains a part of our everyday at the moment.
Plans up to 24th February 2022 below. From 24th February onwards we will keep an ongoing risk assessment in school and a plan of contingency should cases increase.
