Year 6, Autumn 2, Week 1
And we’re back! That seemed like a very quick half term holiday but the children all seem refreshed and ready to work.
In English, we have been working on cinquains this week. They’ve been based on the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ and the children have produced some lovely, thoughtful work.
Maths is still based on fractions – we’re now looking at the relationship between division and fractions. Next, we’ll be moving on to adding and subtracting fractions.
We had a lovely finish to the week today as we went over to Forest School for a bonfire and some breadstick ‘sparklers’. We even had some singing around the campfire!
