Reading

Please remember to read with your child daily and support them with understanding through comprehension of the text and not just decoding. Please make sure you sign your child’s reading record when you have read with them.

English:

This week will would like children to practise their handwriting. Please make sure children write in the correct spaces and lines for their handwriting.

Spellings:

Some words can have a /n/ sound at the beginning but are actually spelled with a ‘kn’ or a ‘gn’.  Children need to learn these spellings as there are no rules as to which spelling might be used

Choose 5 words from the list and write these into a sentence

Maths:

In maths this week we have been looking place value and recognising how many tens and ones there are in each number. Please complete the sheet.
