WEEK 1
3.11.23
The children returned after the half term excited and eager to show their carnival head dresses and their homework project on Toys. Thank you and well done to all families who took the time to take part and help their children with their creations. It was great hearing the children talking passionately about them.
This week we have been looking at Traditional Tales. The children enjoyed sorting a selection of them into different categories and role playing some of them. We will be writing our own version of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and sharing them with the reception children.
For Maths, we are continuing to look at number patterns found in counting in 2's, 5's, and 10's. We are linking counting and sequencing and exploring simple addition and subtraction using the part whole model also known as the cherry model.
Our new RE topic is Baptism and Belonging. We are thinking about our invitations to be part of a group, club, community, family and of course God's family. How does it feel to belong?
