Class News, Year 6, Autumn 1, Week 3
A short week this week, due to the bank holiday on Monday, but nevertheless, a busy and hardworking one in Year 6.
In maths we have continued with our work on place value, looking at rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 as well as the nearest tenth or hundredth. We have also reviewed negative numbers and finding differences between them.
In English we have been looking at using dialogue for characterisation and setting dialogue out correctly with the right balance of speech and description.
Today we found time to have some fun with our buddies - half the class painted and played with their buddies while the other half enjoyed sharing stories in the library. It was lovely to see Year 6 enjoying reading to their young friends.
