ACTION AID

We have received our update from Kono, the community in Sierra Leone where Iye, the child that we sponsor lives.

Iye has told us about the change from Kono and the positive impact she can now see with the help of Action Aid and our support. Her teacher Margarete has told us of how her school is now free of dust, and that they had been teaching the children in dilapidated buildings for the last 30 years. But, the government have launched an educational investment programme to improve school environments and conditions. 

Iye and Margarete have thanked us personally by writing to us and to show appreciation for our sponsorship and how they now have a school community they are very proud of. 

It is so lovely hear from Iye and how she is getting on in Kono!
