What a week! Cedars Park visit and International week all in one.
English: We tried really hard with our writing this week. We wrote about all the things we saw at Cedars Parks. Many of us writing up to 3 sentences.
Phonics: We recapped our phase 3 sounds and learnt the word 'Little' as a new common exception word.
Maths: We have begun looking at patterns, following patterns. We hope to continue learning about patterns next week.
Art: This week we were inspired by some Philippine art and Sri Lankan artists. We painted our own class 'Holy Family' in the artist's style.
International dress up day; Lots of the children enjoyed coming up and telling us about their culture and why they were dressed the way they were. They spoke about their flag colours and traditional costumes.
International food day: Both the children and I were treated to some absolutely amazing and delicious food from some very great cooks. What a treat.
Homework; Pattern and writing sentences, reading and importantly please learn your lines for the assembly.
