Year 6, Autumn 1, Week 6
We had a slightly disjointed week this week as I was off sick on Tuesday but we still got plenty of work done.
Maths this week has concentrated on fractions. In particular, we have been simplifying fractions by identifying common multiples and common denominators. We are now looking at ordering fractions and using reasoning to place them on a numberline.
In English we have been drafting our own version of the story ‘Wisp’, using a variety of single and multi-clause sentences and varying where the subordinate clause appears in the sentence as well as using relative clauses for more description.
We finished the week with our non-uniform day for our charity. We will be having a further event for this later in the term, trying out some World War 2 recipes, so watch this space…
