Year 5 Class News (24.6.22)
Well done to all of you in Year 5 who represented St Joseph’s at our District Sports event this week. You were a credit to the school and Miss Axon was so impressed with your enthusiasm as well as your successes! Another well done to our writer and Stars of the Week too. It’s always a difficult decision to make because you all work so hard and this week has been no exception.
We’ve been continuing with our Fit for 15 programme and both Ms Gunn and Mr Poland have been so pleased with your PE and gymnastics. In Maths we’ve been looking at Imperial measures and converting from them into metric measures as well as revising squared and cubed numbers. In English we’ve been writing newspaper reports based our class book,’ The Promise’ by Nicola Davies and, in Science, we’re investigating the life cycles of animals in our local environment and comparing them with other animals around the world.
Have a lovely and restful week-end. Take care and stay safe.
Best wishes
Mrs Howard and Mrs Direnzo
